Manual focus on XE-1

Can anyone who's used manual lenses on XE-1 help me on this one. I'm thinking about getting the camera and use a manual lens on it but I'm not sure if the camera will return to normal view from the 3x or 10x expanded view after you half press the shutter, or do you have to press a different button? Just by pressing the shutter would make life much easier.
