Hi everybody!, This is my first post here

Do you know if the Ex-! may be "locked" to work only with propietary TTL units?

I've been trying to use a metz 20 c-2 and getting lovely results..... when the flash fires, that can be like two times out of ten I'm talking fully charged batteries and the "Charge" green light on..

I've tried two metz units with similar results, so I suspect the fault is on the camera..

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!

Not sure with your Metz, but with my Nikon SB700 I had to set the flash to not go to sleep.  If it entered power save mode the camera wouldn't wake it up, so it would only fire intermittently.
