Markins Q10 ballhead question

I have the Q10 and recently went through the process of trying to find a travel tripod to match it.  The results of my research was to conclude that the base diameter of the Q10 is too wide to properly fit those travel tripods where the legs fold up over the head, with 2 exceptions:

*  Feisol tournament class tripods, that have no centre column, and a wide top plate; or

*  Gitzo 2541T, where the top of the centre column (i.e. the ballhead) is beyond the legs when they are folded up.

Both of these options are compromises on size in order to fit the larger ballhead.

In the end, to suit my needs, I went for a combo from Sirui - T2204X and K20X ballhead.
