Thom latetst stand on DX - once again

Thom is clear that he uses either a D4 or D800E for anything important and wants another system that is small. I don't really care about small, I care about performance, handling, image quality and price. So I will be sticking with DX but I do wish Nikon had a good, cheep wide prime (16mm or wider) and a good, cheep, fast portrait prime (something 58mm - 70mm).
