Hi all, great idea for a new forum and lets hope it thrives.
I have a Celestron Skyscout for star/planet info and its nice, I guess. I say that because I find it awfully finicky in use - VERY sensitive to interference from...well, from anything - makes it hard to get a good GPS signal. It contains hollow sleeves for reducing interference from the required AA batteries, but I have noticed they don't quite cover the battery entirely. Does anyone else have this device and if so, do you have a fix for the sensitivity? I don't quite understand why the device isn't more robust - after all, mobile gadgets seem to handle GPS signals with little trouble. Are there other devices that might be better?
