Thoughts? No FW800 on new iMacs

Hi All,

I've been waiting for the new iMacs, am on a late model 2009 iMac and will be purchasing a new computer in the next few months.

I'm curious about there not being a FW800 port on the new iMacs and how it will affect those of us who have a lot of FW800 peripherals.   I keep almost nothing on my local drive and have a great external/back up system in place; all of which use FW800.

I shoot with a Nikon D800 which produces large files and do a lot of Photoshop manipulation. My files get very big, very fast.  I love the idea of faster/better iMacs but wonder where this leaves me and my existing external drive set up?

I know I'm not the only person frequenting this forum who uses an iMac & FW800 external drive set up and would value hearing your thoughts.
