Strange LCD trouble on D50...

The LCD is toast. It's cracked, either due to physical impact or maybe excessive pressure applied on the back of the camera (apparently right where the 4-way controller is).

Mind the leaked liquid crystal, it's cancerogenous stuff.

I've seen this many times on customer returned GPS units at my old workplace. It takes quite an amount of force to do this, there's no way it happened on its own.
