Canon 17-55 2.8 Which would you pick?

I have the Canon 60d and just sold my Canon 24-70 2.8 because 24mm was not wide enough for me. I was looking at Adorama website and noticed they have two intriguing options.

The first is a refurbished Canon 17-55 for $989. Which is a 6% discount off of the new price, but refurbished means it has been looked over by a Canon technician.

Or the second deal is a new Canon 17-55 for $1048, but it comes with B+W 77mm uv filter, Tiffen 77mm filter kit, and a Mack 7 year warranty.
