As I mentioned in my prior post, 12-sec delay does not work this way.  It's simply a normal shot sequence that is delayed.

Yes, 2 sec timer MLU works that way - so Pentax K-30 has 2sec MLU indeed.

Good idea to use a wireless or wired remote in addition to ensure you don't disturb anything when you press the shutter button.
...Set 2 sec timer, press shutter button, mirror lifts and holds for 2 secs, shot taken, mirror drops.
it's a handy feature, I use it all the time even though I have Pentax K-5.
