DP Reviews of 5N and F3 inconsistent?
I was looking at the reviews of both cameras,-- 5N got a gold and F3 a silver. Both reviews were ultimately favorable, but in the F3 review they seemed much more negative about certain things. In particular, they were pretty negative about the lack of physical controls (although the reviewer did say YMMV) and indicated that the JPEGs tended to be underexposed (which the reviewer indicated he believed was consistent among the NEX cameras generally). Neither of these things were mentioned in the glowing 5N review.
It just seemed odd to me that things that were noted as positive in the 5N review (JPEG image and controls) were considered negative on the F3 when they are using essentially the same layout and same sensor.
As I said, both reviews were ultimately positive, but reading the reviews prior to the conclusions I think would lead one to think that the F3 was a good bit inferior. Just my thoughts for what they are worth ;-).
