Six months with the D800, still as exciting as day 1....

Now this forum has calmed down somewhat I thought I might chime in with some images again, as most of the time they are sorely missing from this forum.  Lots of cheap trash talk as always I see, not many backing up their claims.  Not that this thread is about claims, more a reminder of the reality of owning a DSLR of the quality of the D800.

Anyhow, I was one of the early adopters with the D800 and six months on I think it's worth saying that it is still every bit of the class act as it was to me at launch.  Incredible really.  I thought that by now the novelty of owning the D800 would have well and truly worn off, but every time I go out to shoot it's still genuinely just as exciting.  I know a lot of landscape photographers around the world, a massive number have switched to it too and I know they feel the same way as I do; almost every serious landscaper I know has either a D800 or D800E now.

So here's some mono long exposures taken during my time away from DPR, many in the last couple of months which I thought a few of you might like, more on my website at http://www.russbarnes.co.uk.  I'm going to be running some location based UK landscape workshops very soon - contact me through my website if you're interested in learning techniques like long exposure, tilt shift, intentional camera movement etc etc
