I shoot RAW because I want to extract more details than what the in-camera jpeg engine can provide. I am not saying that the in-camera's jpeg engine is bad. They are good actually but because of limited time it has to process a shot (the higher fps, the shorter time it has) and the processor in the camera is much less powerful than your PC/notebook, some shotcuts must be made.
