All cameras are compromises, and there is not a consumer grade camera that is not a Jack of All Trades. If you wish to shoot at ISO 3200 at all times, there are probably better cameras than Sony SLT cameras. If you want a responsive camera with high shooting rates, then Sony are better then most at equivalent price ranges. If you want GPS built in, decent Live View, built in IBIS and phase detection during video, than Sony don't have much competition.

Overall there are no bad D-SLR cameras on the market, it all comes down to personal choice. On a Sony forum, you shouldn't be surprised to find people recommending Sony cameras.
