The problem is 3 separate issues.

First, assuming that your LCD properly shows what your image will look like in the final analysis.

Second, assuming that your computer screen is calibrated to the standards of labs.

Third, assuming that a consumer lab will be properly calibrated and use the highest quality materials to properly bring to life your image.

In the future, take a peek at your LCD to make sure your composition is.  Get your monitor calibrated (just google it) properly, otherwise you'll never get the end result that you want.  And use pro labs from which you can get samples to ensure that their products will match your vision at home, and who use quality products.
