Capture NX2 - Where do I go from here

My take. Have been happily using Capture NX since it came out. Use Expression Media as DAM (have the media pro version but do not like it as much). In retrospect should have spent the money used for LR on something else.

If I were doing weddings or that sort of thing I would use LR   because of batching, outputting and so on (although LR4 was a lot slower working than CNX2.3 on my set up until last update).

U points aside CNX has been improving over the years and the nik color effex plug in still works much better/ smoother than the same plug in for LR/ PS. Pity it is not going to be updated to version 4.

Many like the out of box quality with CNX. If you are happy with CNX stick with it. If not go to LR. If you do go to LR: Using view NX (free) will give you an idea what the out of box conversions in CNX are up to.

Most RAW converters can achieve similar looks to one another just takes a lot of time and effort.

The battle against Noise is much less of an issue these days.
