I see your point is the same as mine about processing exaggerating the qualities of the bokeh, but perhaps you can agree that is all it does. It has not taken lovely bokeh and rendered it nasty, nor vice versa. In this case, nervous bokeh has simply become moreso.

Is this bokeh nervous too?  Same lens, f8 instead of 5.6, different background.  Still leafy but not so busy.  The point is that if there is a busy background with different luminosities, the bokeh can be made to look far more harsh with poor processing.
