To make it easier to see all of the computers and shared files/folders, all computers should be in the same workgroup. It doesn't matter what you name the workgroup (in fact, with some versions of Windows, WORKGROUP is the default name), the important thing is that they all be the same. Also, (in my opinion), it's sometimes easier to refer to a computer by it's IP address rather than a name. To find out a computer's IP address, open a Command Prompt (DOS Window) and type "ipconfig" (without the quotes).
