Hi

Whilst I'm enjoying my new 24-70 on a d600. The one thing I'm wondering is the quality of the bokeh towards the tele end. Mine has a VERY nervous quality, double lining and not circular. I was just wondering if any one else had noticed this, or whether I've got a 'dodgy' sample. I'm just curious whether it's something I need to send to nikon to fix, so I'd be grateful if any one else with this lens could comment. Other than the bokeh and the pretty massive field curvature at 24mm near infinity, the lens is very nice and sharp.

I've uploaded a full size image for people to have a look at the OOF highlights in the background. Please note this image is just for illustration. I have many other images showing the same trait.

Hi, GL,

I'm a Nikon 24-70 owner. I've been very happy with the bokeh this superb lens produces.

As others have pointed out to you, the photo you've taken isn't the best way to see what the 24-70 can do. Focus on an object CLOSE to your lens, then you can judge the bokeh in the background.

Try at f2.8 and f4 and see what you think.
