Am I missing something? Underwhelmed by the RX1 IQ

I feel the same, but perhaps the targeted audiences are hard-core enthusiasts, and so those of us who comb the web for every review and forum post on the RX1, have higher expectations on the early photos.

Given the photojournalists had limited time to learn and play with the early pre-production camera and beta firmware (my speculation), and not all of them (except Steve Huff perhaps) are at ease with range finder cameras, I'm fine with what have been presented so far, and look forward to the detailed reviews when Sony finally ships the camera.
