The issue is not at all restricted to "wide fast" lenses. Unless you are counting 2.8 as "fast." It happens with all the 2.8 lenses I use.

... When unused wide, as in a 24-70. Of my lenses, the defect was evident on my 24-70 @ f2.8 and 24mm. Could still see it up to 35mm.
Mine has been fixed; so far the heavy front focus seems to be corrected, and quick tests show consistent banks to right banks. Need to do a little more testing there to be 100 % sure.
