At least for me, each trip requires evaluation. Sometimes I want to go light, sometimes I want to use camera and lenses I haven't used as much, sometimes I want all of my guns, and sometimes I want to go pretty much bare.
Like others, I don't think you need to apologize for not taking the X-Pro1. There are some trips where for whatever reason it isn't the first choice. Plus as you note, you have some crossover on the X100.
