Is it necessary at all? I mean if one goes for the minimalism of the RX1 in many senses - minimal size, minimal choice of the focal length... would one want another camera in the bag or at home to go with the RX1? Can it be RX100 - for the zoom range it gives + same interface, battery, design, etc. Or can it be a DSLR sistem, Canon, Nikon, Sony or indeed a mirror-less system. One of many good things about the RX1 is that it doesn't require one to be tied to a lens mount... so one might as well look for a good system to compliment the RX 1... but shoudl one at all? And if yes -  for what purposes? Just thinking aloud - would love to hear your opinion folks!

Sony RX1 Sony RX100
