Thanks for your comments. I didn't use a hood on the lens, I did use a polarizer filter. I shoot in RAW, and for post processing I use LightRoom first, then Photoshop. So the photos have some kind of effect to make them pop a little more. And yes indeed we live in a beautiful world!
