Aokatec GPS Receiver AK-G1 on D800

Ordered Aokatec GPS Receiver for D800 on the 14th, www.semsons.com/akaogpsrefor.html  received it today. Very Nice! Fits on the camera very well, snug almost to the point of hard to get off(a good thing). The whole unit is only slightly larger than their bluetooth module.  Really puts Nikon's solution to shame. The unit provides heading and since it is mounted on the camera the heading is the direction the lens was pointed.

Have not had time to evaluate battery drain.

This unit really deserves a full review.

The only Cons I've come across so far are:

The brightness of the acquisition LED (RED Flashing) and the green acquired LED.

Monopolizes the 10 pin connector. (It does provide a connector for a remote)

No manual.

Very satisfied.
