Beginner looking to get a PL2- suggestions?

Hi All,

I found a deal to get the Olympus PL2 brand new for less than $300.  Would that be a good price?

I am coming from an old canon sd630 and want to probably get more into cameras (learning about aperture, shutter speed, iso etc).  I do not think I want to spend too much on a camera and a beginner DSLR camera is pretty pricey (not to mention pretty big).

I want to step up from a P&S (and have much better quality than a camera phone) but do not want to spend much, and I am a beginner.

Would the PL2 be too confusing to use?  Is the Auto mode good on it?

If it would be, what cheap good lens do you recommend for me, a beginner, to use with this camera other than the normal one that comes with it.  will the normal one that comes with be good enough when I am on vacation in the city?
