I have the panny 20mm and, unless it's markedly faster on the gf3 than it is on my epm1, it won't be able to cope with a toddler indoors. It's a brilliant lens, but focusing speed is not its forte. The 45mm is noticeably faster focusing and capable of keeping up with a toddler indoors, but you need to have the room to stand back far enough to frame the pics properly which is not always possible indoors.

As others have suggested, using a bounce flash may be the best option for your particular need.
