IS THE WIND FILTER ON AN S110 REALLY AGC?

Well, I've recorded in similarly loud environments with my older Fuji E900, and the AGC on that camera has no problems keeping the system from distorting. The S110 appears to either not have any AGC whatsoever, or it MAY be incorporated into the "wind filter". I'm going to try some spectral tests to see if it's filtering any of the audio range in this mode, as I haven't really heard any difference with my quick tests.
