Olympus PEN ep3 raw processing

I have a Mac with version 10.6.8, iphoto 09, Elements 9, Olympus viewer 2 and Picasa 3.9.7.

I cannot find a clear path to upload and process RAW files from the ep3. OV2 seems to be a pain. Tried to update iphoto software but not possible with iphoto 09.

If I get the latest versions of iphoto and elements ie 11 in both cases, will I be able to upload and process RAW images from ep3?

Will my pics now in iphoto be automatically moved to iphoto 11?
