I love to shoot portraits and I'm very interested in macro photography. The problem is what lens should I buy? the Nikon 85 f1.8 or the Tokina 100mm f2.8 macro. Both are optically excellent (have both).
Mine was pretty fast focussing outside of the macro range. Obviously, as this lens is screw-driven, this is somewhat dependent upon the focussing motor in the body.
Considering the things I've read the tokina is much better in image quality than the nikon 60mm.
They're both about the same, in my experience (have both).
