A Nice Place to Shoot - E-M5, 5 images
Oct 17, 2012

Carlton Gardens is my favorite spot to visit on lunch breaks or after work. It always has plenty of intriguing visuals around for me to practice on.

It has a few fountains, fun for practicing with filters and different shutter speeds:

E-M5,1/5,  ISO 200, f/11, Olympus 45mm 1.8

E-M5, 1/500, ISO 200, f/5.6, Panasonic 45-175mm at 125mm

There are always a few odd characters hanging around the Gardens.

This bloke was playing with the puppy and pretending to throw it in the pond but I don't think it belonged to him. This shot was serendipitous as I still had my shutter speed set to 1/5 for some fountain shots:

E-M5, 1/15, ISO 200, f/6.3, Olympus 45mm 1.8

The flora is beautiful! The strelitzia have been putting on a nice show lately:

E-M5, 1/250, ISO 200, f/1.8, Olympus 45mm 1.8

This shot I am not too sure about; I was playing around with the camera, taking shots that would capture the Exhibition Hall entirely in bokeh. People kept passing across the lit fountain and I waited for a good moment:

Here is another shot of the Hochgurtel Fountain with ye olde X100. It is a photogenic place, very hard to resist. I'm hoping for another golden afternoon like this with my E-M5:

X100, 1/250, IOS 400, f/8.0, 35mm

Thanks for viewing, sharing pictures is cathartic!
