Not a fan of 1:1 portraits, unless they were shot with 1:1 in mind. This looks like a bad composition cropped to remove unwanted details.

I agree with the distracting background. There are plenty of ways to remove it (in camera): faster lens, get closer to subject etc.

The exposure itself isn't bad. Sharp and clean
