Japan vs China RX100 - which should I buy?

I know this has been discussed in another thread but I didnt feel there was a conclusive outcome with regards to any quality differences.

I am ordering this item and my dealer has confirmed they have a few of both made in Japan and made in China, which would you go for given the option?  Does anyone with a Chinese version have any issues?  I should expect there will be very little if any difference really but because the option is there I have to choose.
