24-105L

I had the 24-105 for quite a while, used on a 5D and a 5D mkII

I liked it a lot for convenience and size/weight, but after a while I got fed up with:

• distortion at 24mm
• vignetting, especially at 24mm, which made using filters a challenge
• softness at 105mm

I've got some good results from that lens stopped down and at around 35mm. On tripod with cable release and MLU. But, since I'm doing more portrait/portfolio photography nowadays and less travel photography, I've moved to primes and sold the 24-105 on eBay. And never looked back

I do not have experience with your 24mm, but I have the 135 f/2L and the 24-105 can't touch its quality, not even close. My walkaround lens is the 35 f/1.4L now. The only zoom I am going to keep is the 70-200 f/2.8L IS mkII. Looking for a used TS-E 24 f/3.5L mkII to get 24mm again
