HEY DPR IT BOZOS!!!!!!!!!!   WHY IN THE HE77 DOES THE IMAGE ALWAYS HAVE TO BE INSERTED ABOVE THE TEXT YOU WRITE??????  To all the dudes with nose rings... muscle-up and do some work (or at least do some TESTING).  It's raining now in Seattle.  The sun won't be back until April or May.

Anyway...

Sure, it would be nice to have a new toy and who knows... maybe we could produce much better images and be much more creative with a new-fangled cam.  But still, the old D300 is very functional.  If Nikon does as well with the "D400" as it did with the D300 (i.e., 5-6 year shelf life from 2007 to 2013-ish) that would indeed be a good value.  I do not mind the bulk of a "DSLR" even with a grip.  I like hauling around the D300 w/MB-D10 and the 70-200 -- my favorite set-up!  I do not feel the need for a small camera (i.e., mirrorless) with a smaller sensor.  I may even jump to a D800, but I would prefer to stay with DX and keep using the DX lenses I have.  I can wait... for a while.  But I am itching for some "new film" to put in my camera!

ISO 800, f/8, 1/4 sec exposure.  Camera resting on a railing.  Only 520 KB -- click on "original" and then right click on the full size image to save as a local file.  Makes a very nice (IMHO) desktop background...
