Does f/22 have any uses with MFT cameras?

Great pictures. Usually people agree about anything past f/11 being bad only until the macro shooters show up in force. After that happens f/16 is suddenly just a basic aperture.

Here I wanted coloured fireworks. I used f/22 to get away from the "coloured outlines with white centre" effect:

The resolution no doubt suffered, but it wasn't needed in the picture. The diffraction smoothing probably adds to the "graphic" look of it, which I like (I should get around to shooting some more fireworks sometime, I've used this example picture too many times.)
