vanishing prairie subject

recently in southern Alberta looking for old grain elevators and came across this lovely old elevator across from its modern sterile metal replacement in the distance.

Taken with  Nikon D300.  Nikkor 18-200.  I applied a texture to the top layer and it lightened up the background and brought out details on the train that I did not know were hidden in the image.  I was unaware that a texture application like Flypaper's linen would have that affect.
