d800 and lenses

The list of Nikon-recommended lenses for the D800 is on p. 32 of their technical guide here http://www.nikonusa.com/pdf/manuals/dslr/D800/D800_TechnicalGuide_En_v2.pdf.

The lenses are recommended for the D800E, but I read it as recommended for both cameras, since the A/A filter is the only difference between the two.

I recently purchased a used 24-120mm f/4 and plan to make it my walk-around lens.  We'll see.
