You're correct... Alright then... still the DX/FX difference is $900 in NikonUSA posted MSRP for the D600/D7000 versus $1,000 for the D300S/D700 by your stated standard.

Point is the same, (not a drastic convergance in difference between DX and FX since the D700/D300S)... the other side of the cost gap is the lens of course.

I'm looking forward to the D400 like so many others, all of this other noise from people who are not in the market, or enjoy their D600 now, is really just noise.  Enjoy your Nikons I enjoy mine, and look forward to edging out my camera performance envelope towards the new D400 workhorse like so many others... and eager to see what the future holds after that.
