Don't you mean the "price" of early adoption?

I have a slight case of XP 1 Early Adopter Remorse!
I bought the camera and all 3 lenses within 10 days of launch. I like it.
Slightly depressed to see a price drop AND the fact that Fuji are now giving away the NZ$870 35mm lense for FREE when you buy the body - and have extended the warranty to 3 years from 1.
Early adoption seems to have been costly to the tune of more than $1000.
Like you, I was an early adopter of the XP1 system. I couldn't even wait till it came to the U.S. Instead, I had a friend by it for me in Candada while she was on holiday. I paid a premium when you consider sales tax that I woudn't have paid in the U.S. via an online retailer. I wanted the system before I took a vacation to Hawaii. So, I paid more. But, I took this shot while on vacation (below), it's one of my absolute favorites of my daughter. So, was the price worth it? For me, yes.
