For other work and other needs, the GXR's versatility and flexibility makes it the better tool

Where the GXR-M shines, is when using lenses longer than 90mm, or when using very fast lenses, and when using lenses shorter than 28mm. On a rangefinder, you need enlargements on the eyepiece or can't even some very fast or long lenses easily, and you need an extra viewfinder for lenses shorter than 28mm.

It is a pity that the GXR-M is not full frame, because it would be great with a 21mm or shorter lens, without having to use an external viewfinder.

Obviously, the new M can now do what the GXR-M does because it now has live view.
