anyone use a SmallHD DP6 with NEX 7 ? or any field monitor?

I'm about to buy one...just was wondering what exact resolution the NEX 7 outputs via HDMI when it's recording.  I think I read from searches that it doesn't down-res like the Canon's do while recording and I hope that's true.  I do know it's not a clean HDMI signal, so the black bar on the side just wondering how many pixels it's taking up versus the active live view area while recording.  Thnx for any info!
