I can understand your thoughts BUT it all depends on the camera's specifications. There's a huge market out there for DX and it would be foolish if Nikon was to pull the plug in respect of this segment.

Remember that a DX sensor is much cheaper to manufacture which provides more remaining funds for further additional in-camera refinement.

Just my thoughts!
