New Layout - double line space on enter?

Having been a life-long touch typist I automatically press enter 2X for a new paragraph.

With the new interface I get huge spaces between my lines.

I imagine the interface was designed for people who tend to make run-up paragraphs that never seem to end.

Is any once else annoyed by this double line spacing on one "enter" press?
