So, if you listen to your music on an iPhone or view your photos on an iPhone, you probably aren't going to see the difference between MP3s/JPEGs and 24bit/192kHz/RAWs.

The iphone is just being used as a source in this, obviously I'm not suggesting listening on the white earbuds. Use a line out from the 15-pin charger to your stereo of choice. But actually I have Etymotic ER4P earphones which are better than any studio monitor when used with a clean headphone amp. Switching the songs by yourself, in your car, is not a valid A/B test. There's simply too much psychology involved. Please don't argue with me unless you've done the testing on yourself.

What I find interesting when looking through Flickr is just how bad most photoshopped/lightroom'd images look. The processing is so obvious, and so unnatural, I can spot it a mile away. And these are people with "Pro" accounts (granted they may not actually be pros). My favorite photoshop Raw nightmare is when they put their idiotic signature across the middle of the image. HDR is another unholy new fad. And in dpreview cam reviews, when they use the Raw file to "pull out more detail", the result always looks worse to me than the camera's jpeg. Subjective, I know.
