To answer your original question, I tried the 14-42 with my homemade rig, and it can't focus when the slide is close enough to cover most of the screen You can get a shot with the 35mm slide covering about 2/3 of the screen though. The 40-150mm doesn't work at all for this - minimum focus distance is way too great.
