Nah, my Pentax is already too old. Really bad AF and really awful high iso IQ. Nevertheless it still works ok when shooting with good light. Besides, I need a smaller camera for "paid" concerts, to where you cannot take a dslr, but maybe a M4/3 would slide..
I agree primes are essential, but I have been shooting with a Tammy 70-300 and results are not bad at all
