D800 mamory card access lamp keeps flashing

My D800 memory access card lamp has recently started flashing when the camera is off. When the camera is turned on, it stops flashing. when camera is Off it drains the battery. Does anyone had this problem.  Please help if someone knows about the solution to this problem. I bought it from a grey market, i AM REALLY SCARED.
