Annie, all you have to do is copy the file from the camera to the computer. Right click the file on the computer and look for "properties or image or metadata" depending on your computer OS (Windows or Linux or others). It should tell you all these shooting parameters such as your camera model, date taken, aperture, shutter speed, etc.

Most probably, your problem is either you auto focus the wrong object or move the camera too much while pressing the shutter (while the speed is set too low such as < 60s). Please follow the advice from Jon04 regarding the best camera settings for XZ-1.
