A quick question about brushes.

I'm new to using brushes, however I did manage to successfully (I think) dowload some from the web. The probelm is I can't turn them (the pattern) off. I applied a texture and mask, but when I go to the brush tool I still get the pattern.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I'm using CS5 with a Mac.
