How to review reviewers (HS30) ?

I cant speak about any of the previous HS series but the HS30 does somtimes exibit softening around the edges of some wider angle shots. I first noticed it when comparing my S6500 to the 30. I wouldn't say it's too much of an issue (well not to me any way) unless one starts peeping or goes looking for it. Chromatic aberration doesn't seem to be a stand out issue either. Would I be wrong in saying that nearly all superzooms show CA in some degree? I remember reading a review about the S100fd and it put CA as an issue for that series, yet the the S100 is one of the legends.

Over all I think the 30 does a pretty good job considering it's price....
